LaFolie
A restaurant in Alicante that knew exactly what it wanted to feel like. Our job was to make that feeling visible.
Introduction
La Folie, a conceptual restaurant in Alicante, Spain, sought to redefine the local culinary scene by embracing a bold, counter-cultural identity. The project draws heavy inspiration from the monochrome cinematography of Mathieu Kassovitz and the golden era of street culture, aiming to transport guests into a world where urban heritage meets modern gastronomy.

Challenges
The brand required a visual identity that felt authentically underground and rebellious without compromising the quality of a high-end dining experience.
The challenge was to translate the raw, high-contrast atmosphere of the 90s banlieue and hip-hop scene into a cohesive commercial brand that could resonate with both street-culture enthusiasts and a sophisticated international clientele.

Solutions
Sophie developed a sharp, high-contrast visual system and typography-led identity, positioning La Folie as a premier landmark for urban culture in Alicante.
By integrating gritty textures and cinematic references into every touchpoint—from digital storytelling to physical menus—the branding successfully captures the rebellious spirit of the late 90s while establishing a polished, professional presence that has elevated the restaurant's standing in the Mediterranean food scene.
